A Date on a Rainy Saturday Afternoon

Isn't it intresting, the tittle...Uhhh you may think a date!!! for a maried woman? Yeah, A date not with XX or XY chromosomes. Its with coffee and the shop. Monmouth Coffee Company, this is the shop I'm talking about. These days Markets became more fascinating for me, to watch new faces in the foreign land. Hmm..thats how I came across this shop.Last friday I googled about markets in London, Borough market was quiet intresting cause, its centuries old and deals about foods from all around the world. When deep inside my search, every article regarding it mentioned about this coffee shop. So I made a note to visit it. Reached London after the congestion hours of saturday, maybe around half pass two.

Set beneath the railway tracks with Victorian-style warehouse roof, the finest food market took my mind to a confused state. I didn't know what I'm in search of. Wandered the lanes of the Green Market, the food smell there, was not soothing me,coz of my vegeteranism. This led me to walk the opposite side of the market. There I saw the sign of Monmouth Coffee. It sensed me imediately that, coffee was need of an hour. I walked straightly to the shop...queue was quite long. Waited for my turn to the till, looking the menu board for the coffee to my taste, Read filter coffee with latte on the board,Hmm the degree coffee back at home, the aroma of the coffee made me to close my eyes for a second. I sensed my presence with a voice of a worker from the barista, with a paper cup and a marker in hand. All of the sudden I didn't realize what was she asking me...Ahh she was getting my order and noted in the cup...Remember how they take order in the busy restaurants, That happened here too, for a coffee.

Got my cuppa coffee and found a place to sit in the center of the hall. Took a first sip, with the smell of roasted beans in the air, the atmosphere was enchating. The bitterness of the filter coffee and light taste of brown sugar....hmm felt like...I didnt know how it felt, u will feel the same when u taste one here.

In the middle of buzzing sound of chit chatters, I saw an observer marking a sketch, lovers with intimate talks...it took me to an other era. Hmm for sure I enjoyed. Rex was not there with me during this visit. So again I entered the shop within some 20 minutes, this time I wanted Rex to feel the same.

Market closes by 5P.M, so hurried inside to take a glance. There is a shop which sell Ostrich meat and eggs. Amazed to see the shop. As it was over crowded couldn't able to take a snap. Wandered again the gastro lane and had some Brownies with walnut and a custard tart. Just take a look of some photgraphs of the stalls in the market.

Its was an end of other beautiful day. Before leaving the market went to the coffee shop to continue my date. Had a cappuccino. With the brown sugar sprinkled over it, every sip and lick felt like heaven. I'm not a coffee expert, but the smooth consistency of the foam lathered on the top, sweetness of the milk and the bitterness of the coffeee it felt like innocent and pure. Twilght entered the sky...My date has turned to Love.....
